(Hey people, Moderator Oak here; Me and Admin Kie are going to show you the proper way of battle and roleplaying on Pokemon World! RP.; For beginners who are new at forum or just roleplaying all together.. I will start small and my posts will get longer and more descriptive throughout the post.) ----------------------- Leaves blew fiercely in the October wind, as Shun Oak and his PokeMon partner, Squirtle, walked a small path in the forest of Pallet Town. Shun held himself as the wind blew in his face freezingly; Squirtle chattered its teeth as Shun looked down at him. "..It's too cold for you to be out, Squirtle.." He said, pulling out his red pokeball and pointed it at Squirtle. "Return.." He said, as a red beam shot from out of the center of the orb like storage device as Squirtle went inside of the ball. Shun replaced the ball in his Pokeball holder. He walked the path, now lonely. "I could really use a battle right now.." He said, as his sandy-brown hair blew in the wind, falling over his face. His black shirt with a single red stripe across his chest & black light button jacket didn't keep Oak warm.

Shun was kin to the famous Professor Oak of the Kanto region & Gary Oak, his father and a famous Pokemon professor, just like his grandfather. In the small town of Pallet, there aren't alot of trainers; Only good trainer in Pallet Town is Kie Ketchum, son of the greatest PokeMon trainer ever to battle; Ash Ketchum; Shun's dream is battle him and become a better trainer then Ash and Kie. |

(As a site regulation to keep fights fair, you may only dodge at the maximum amount of five times; After that, you must use keen strategy and planning to win a battle; Such as certain elements.. Some overpower others, which you may want to plan before battling you opponent;
Examples:
Water beats Fire. Fire beats Grass. Grass beats Water. Dark beats Ghost. Etc.)Son of a Master Trainer..
"Pikachu use agility!"
The rough teen voice of Ketchum Kie could be heard from the forest, echoing throughout the forest; Pidgeys flew out of the trees from fright.
Seen jumping through the trees is the famous mouse type pokemon, Pikachu, the child of Ash's Pikachu. After its hatching from its egg, Ash passed it down to his son so he could start his own Pokemon journey.
In current reality; Pikachu leaped through the trees, climbing up branches and jumping higher and higher on the tree it was training in.
It finally reached the top, as it then sat down on the highest branch on the peak. He then let out a loud 'Pika!' in a proud tone. As Kie through a thumbs-up; "Good job, Pikachu..! Now, jump down.. I'll catch you." Kie said, outstretching his arms and smiling. Pikachu smiled as it front-flipped from the tree which was about 10 ft. in the air and landed into the arms of his partner.
"Great job today; Your agility is really getting great.. Dad is really going to be impressed with our progression.." He said as Pikachu perched apon his shoulder, putting on Kie's hat. Kie's hair blew in the October wind which did not faze him at all; The rush of training gave him all the warmth he needed.. He then came out of the forest, running towards the track. "Uf.." Kie then bumped into Shun Oak, who was the Pallet Town Trail. Kie fell to the ground.

(A Pokemon battle, like Kie said, consist of certain elements for success; Strategy, Precision, & Timing. Without using those key rules, you'll lose everytime. Learn how to use your Pokemons' abilities so that your strategies will come out beautifully.) "Uf.."
Kie Ketchum fell before Shun Oak; A quick, burst of energy went through the hyperactive boy. "Well, well, well.." Shun said, dusting himself. "Kie Ketchum.. Coincidence seeing you hear.."
He said, uptightly. He then smiled, finding a good opening. "Now that your hear.. I challenge you to a trainer battle, a simple spar between me and you, Ketchum.. You in.. or you chicken?" He said, laughing; Removing his red PokeBall and summoning his Squirtle from the orb.
Squirtle gloated, cockily, just like his trainer. "Me and Squirtle have been working hard & we want to put our skills to the test with the son of the best.. Is that ok?" Shun said, as Squirtle commented with a cocky "Squirtle" sound-effect. |

"Oak.."
Kie said, with a smile. "You seem pretty cocky today.. I'll take you on. Right, Pikachu?" Kie said, balling his fist up and standing up; Pikachu commented with a Pika sound effect, which most likely meant yes.
"I'll show you want the Ketchum Family is capable of.. Your family is nothing but professors.. You should get in the lab & stop playing with the big-boys.." Kie said with a laugh.
A cold breeze blew in the field as Kie then smiled; His black hair swaying back in forth, along with the light black & white jacket he was wearing. "First move, amateur.." He said, laughing. |

Shun looked down at his Squirtle as him and Kie stood several feet away from each other. Shun then closed his fist tightly, "Okay.. Squirtle use Agility and come down & use Tackle on Pikachu" Shun said, as his Squirtle jumped into the air, 10 to about 11 ft. from the ground, front-flipping in the wind as it began to soar down from the sky, head-first.
Shun's Squirtle was also a child of his father's Squirtle; Shun and Squirtle have been together since Shun was a baby; Now, they are working to turn Squirtle into the legendary Blastoise, the last evolution of Squirtle. But, it will take alot to do that.
Shun then held his chin as he began to think; "I don't know, but, I'm sure Kie's Pikachu isn't that matured yet.." He then checked his PokeDex; Pikachu is capable of using ThunderShock, Growl, and Tail Whip; Two more moves Shun couldn't do & Squirtle had not successfully learned the ability Dig yet. "I hope this works.. If I can connect hitting Pikachu; It could cause some good damage.. If I fail, I'm screwed for the battle.."
Shun looked at Squirtle, coming down and getting more & more air as he soared in the air like a spiraling, blue bullet of some sort; It was a most beautiful sight, the best move he has accomplished yet with his partner Squirtle. |

Kie then saw Squirtle gaining speed from his diving tackle; He smiled and looked at Pikachu. "Pikachu use Agility, go head-up with Squirtle, then use Tail Whip..!"
He said, throwing a thumbs-up into the air; As Pikachu soared into the sky in a front-flip, as he flipped three times in the air, finally reaching Squirtle.
With a swift front-flip maneuver, Pikachu brought his tail around and was ready to strike Squirtle in mid-air; Due to them being in the air, it's going to be pretty hard for Squirtle to escape, unscathed. One, Squirtle could take the hit from the Tail Whip and he would take damage in air and fall to the ground, taking even more damage or Squirtle could dodge it but still make killer impact with the ground due to him and Pikachu being so far up.
"Unfortunately, Oak.. Your Squirtle will take damage either way it goes, my friend.. This was a good battle but I think this is the end of it.. Unstrategized moves will leave you in the Pokemon Center, kiddo.." Kie said, doing a nose-flick like his Dad would. Kie, on the inside, felt that Shun wouldn't give up that fast; He is a crafty and sneaky person who could come-back at any given moment.
Professor Gary Oak actually took care of Kie's Pikachu from when it was a Pichu to now; That's why the Ketchum Family respect the Oaks because of their great achievements in the science-pokemon world & taking care of their Pokemon when they were first born.
Kie then began to think as well:
"Shun's a crafty opponent, I don't know if his Squirtle is capable of Dig yet.. That's a good way Squirtle could escape Pikachu; But, Pikachu is skilled at Dig, so, he won't get away.. Squirtle's best hope is using his Tail Whip and Tackle to his advantage, seeing he doesn't know any type of water-based attack yet; He needs more fluent and deeper training to learn even do bubblebeam.. Shun needs to get serious with Squirtle, especially if he wants a Blastoise.." He waited for Shun and Squirtle's response to the Tail Whip move.

(Besides having a good mind of Pokemon battling; You must learn how to roleplay as well. Roleplaying is the key role of the website & you must be fluent at it or you will be the weakest link. Roleplaying is simple, as you see me and Kie doing it. It's basically like a two-person story; It's that simple. You just imagine your character and your character's actions, type it down, and you've just roleplay..)
Squirtle saw Pikachu coming at his as Pikachu brought his tail down.
"Squirtle dodge Pikachu's Tail Whip and head for the ground.. Use Dig when you make contact." Shun said, his voice cracking as he wasn't sure that Squirtle was adequate of using Dig.
"Use Dig..!" Shun said, months ago as Squirtle came out of the air about to use Dig; Dirt and grass flew as Squirtle hit the ground with impact as he passed out; He spent a week in the Pokemon Center after that killer impact with Earth. Shun wasn't sure and he crossed his fingers.
He began to think to himself; "We've been training so hard, Squirtle; Please, pull this off..! If we can do that, we can change the course of this match..!" Shun said, as he resumed to Squirtle. Grass and earth flew as Shun closed his eyes in shame; Re-opening them it was a hole in the ground as he smiled. "He did it!" He said, smiling as he felt new hope in the battle.
"Okay, Ketchum.. Bring it!" He said, as Squirtle scavenged underneath the earthened ground. [/color][/size] |

"I knew there was hope for this kid.."
Kie said with a enlightened smile. "It seems he'll be the first to break the scientist cycle of his family.." He then looked at Pikachu who was still in air, coming down; "Pikachu go into the hole and find Squirtle and when you do.. Finish it with ThunderShock!"
Pikachu shot down into the hole that Squirtle was now hiding in. Pikachu, being a mouse type pokemon, is a good scavenger underneath the ground with amazing smelling abilities. Pikachu could easily sniff out Squirtle's trail; Squirtle, being a water-based pokemon, had no knowledge of the ground like Pikachu did.
A distinctive Pika could be heard from underground; Giving Kie his signal. "Use Thundershock..!" Thunder shot from out of the hole as it grew increasingly silent of the battlefield. |

The ground then imploded on itself, as the dust and debris flew through the air. Squirtle stood strong, along with Pikachu. If Kie was smart, Electric doesn't effect Water that good, though, the Thundershock was effective and slowed Squirtle down.
"Heh.. I thought it was over.."
Shun said, as he broke a sweat. Then, the two Pokemon grew spirals from their eyes as they both passed out from the over-straining of their new abilities; Thundershock and Dig.
Shun then blinked twice before screaming; "What the heck just happened..?" Shun said, running on to the battlefield where the two exhausted Pokemon laid. "Squirtle!" He said, as he picked his partner up; "Good job, buddy.. You finally learned Dig.."
Squirtle opened his eyes as he smiled at Shun; "Return.." He said, removing his PokeBall, as the red light came over Squirtle as he was replaced in the PokeBall. Then, looking at Kie. |

(When Forum Roleplaying, you create a post in one of the boards that say the regions you are located in; Which include Unova, Kanto, Johto, etc.; You push the 'Create Post' button which brings you to a white box where you write in. After writing you roleplay or responding to one, push the 'Post Replay' button underneath the white box you write in. It's a simple process.) "Pikachu..!"
Kie said, as he also rushed to his companion's side.
"I'm proud of you, Pikachu! That was a great battle.." He then picked up Pikachu and as he looked at Shun.
"This was the beginning of many battles to come, Oak.. Next time, there will be a winner next battle & it will be; I will become the best trainer to ever live just like my Dad.. You better believe that." He said, smiling. "Good fight, Oak.. You impressed me today." He said as he then began to feed Pikachu a healing potion that he required from his father before he went into the forest.
Then, throwing the rest of the potion to Shun so he could heal his Squirtle, as well. Kie then smiled, holding Pikachu as he walked in the opposite direction.
(NOTE: This was not me and Shun's best; We are way better roleplayers and trainers. This was just an example to show members how to play on PWRP. This shall be locked and made an announcement so everyone can learn how to play.) |
